MY 2018 GOALS

1. Self Care

  • Sleep at 10 PM and wake up at 5.30 AM on weekdays
  • Exercise for at least 15 minutes every day (Note: I changed this into taking dance classes twice a week) 
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Make time to take a better care of my hair and skin
  • See the dentist every six months, and have my last wisdom tooth removal surgery

2. Personal Growth

  • Read at least 10 pages every day
  • Write at least 500 words a week
  • Scroll less on social media: Stop after 10 minutes
  • Practice self-discipline to make new positive habits stick and keep a habit tracker
  • Approach mistakes with Insightful Introspection and Compassionate Problem Solving, instead of ruminating

3. Professional Growth

  • Identify in what areas I want to stretch my comfort zone, and use the REACH method to achieve them
  • Complete at least two Coursera courses
  • Make time to catch up with my network at least once every other month

4. Mind, Soul, and Relationship

  • Become more aware of the negative patterns of my mind, and practice mindfulness to overcome them
  • Make a calendar of loved ones’ special moments, and make time to celebrate better with them (or at least wish them well on time)
  • Make an effort to be kinder to, and have more patience with, other people
  • Continue my contribution to charity
  • Find an opportunity to volunteer at least once this year
  • Get on an Instagram fasting for at least one month this year

5. Self Expression

  • Explore new media to express thoughts and feelings
  • Be bolder in experimenting with different fashion styles to find my own

6. New Skills and Knowledge

  • Complete my second Korean language course on Coursera
  • Complete my remaining Korean language courses on Rocket Language
  • Keep a dedicated notebook for Korean vocabulary and grammar, and update it regularly
  • Learn more about the global and the local feminist movements
  • Dare to reach out to whom I want to learn more from

7. Finance

  • Stick to my monthly budget and keep a daily expense tracker
  • Meet and maintain my Savings target by the end of the year

8. Future Life

  • Start and complete my home redesign project by the end of the year
  • Finalize budget, immediate plan, and saving for future life with my partner
